While browsing the web for scooternews, scooterparts and other stuff I came across this nice write up from Polini on how CVT systems work and how you can adjust them.
They explain in their article how the engine transfers power from the crank to the wheel and show with pictures how torque and rpm work in relation to generating speed. Also they give some tips on how to setup your transmission if you don't have a rolling road in your garage (must of us don't).
Although the article is written in "Italian English" you will get the point. You can click the pictures to zoom in.
Next weekend (11th of June) there will be an international sprint Meinerzhagen, Germany. I will be there and will report next weekend with lots of pics & movieclips (I will make sure I take a good cam with me) of the worlds fastest sprinters and most exotic builds.
